So, in case anyone didn’t clue in by now (aside from the fact that I already pointed it out on Twitter) my last Tumblr post was a cruel, cruel joke. Probably more on myself since apparently some folks thought it was real!

I was sitting there yesterday afternoon thinking to myself, “self, you’ve never done anything for April Fool’s, you should totes do something.” And I know for a fact anything you can do well, you can also do not well. Wise words. So I cracked open a new Logic session, pulled up some raging guitar samples, organ and funk guitar licks, organized them in the absolute filthiest manner, and then threw a bi-polar beat over it. I literally could not keep a straight face, and may or may not have cried from laughing so hard. Maybe snotted… who’s asking? I realized it needed some vocals so I jotted down the following on a Text Edit document:

“Believe in your heart and be strong!

Follow what you know in your body

It’s true, yes you belong!

And your soul is precious to the angels.”

I promise you if I ever give you something that shit for real, I give you all permission to rage-quit my fan base. The new record is nearing being finished, and I’m almost out of my mind over it. It’s the best thing I’ve ever made, maybe the best thing I’ll ever make. I only hope some day I can top it. I love you guys! Happy April Fail’s!
